Sensitization on Planting for Food and Jobs 2.0 program (PFJ.2.0)

Agric dept.

The Planting for Food and Jobs part 2 (PFJ.2.0) program is a government initiative aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and improving food security in Ghana. Sensitization on this program is essential in ensuring its success and widespread adoption among farmers across the country. Management of the Assembly has embarked on a sensitization exercise on Baafo FM 89.9 to educate farmers on the benefits and opportunities provided by the program to better understand why they should involve themselves and how to maximize their yields and increase their income through modern farming techniques. Additionally, farmers were also educated on best practices in crop production, post-harvest handling, and market access, so farmers can more effectively utilize the resources available to them and improve their livelihoods.
